REQ: Close Tabs Faster

Post by ckit »

Having the ability to close tabs by single-clicking\double-clicking on the tab itself would be great. Doube-clicking works for me but others might want single-clicking :)

At first I thought your post was a joke. I think when rereading I understand: When clicking on the active Tab, the Tab should be closed.

That might be helpful for experienced users, but for novice users this might be a "killer" and very irritating if they happen to click on the active tab. So I think single-click should not be supported or - if really needed - only with an option.

Of course, I'm a power user :)

ckit,

what about this? REQ: Suggestions for new Tab feature

There is a suggestion - add ability to close the tab with a middle mouse button, I think it's the best solution, fast enough and no one can close a tab by accident, as with a LMB single click or LMB double click.

Please add your support there (for MMB or LMB...).

I vote for middle-click closes tab. That's so in every tabbed program I use (Firefox, Foobar2000, Miranda IM)
