jfif files not opening properly

Hello, sorry if this might have an obvious fix that I'm unaware of, I tried searching a bit around but couldn't find anything in regards to it.

XnView works perfectly when I double click other image extensions like jpeg, jpg, png or gif, but when I open jfif files, it opens a blank browser page.

Any idea on why this could be, and how can I fix it? Thanks!

it seems that you have a bad entry in registry and you need to edit it
