New laptop and I want to use 1.87.
All the photos that I want to keep are on external drive and I don't want to have XV scan the laptop drive.
I want only to scan the external drive. How do I setup this before I install and do the first start of xnviewmp?
I know that I can restrict the scan in the settings but that's after the 1st run and the 1st scan.
The reason for not wanting the scans of laptop drive is that xv will create categories from the photos on the latop...
Thanks

even if some Categories have been added you always can delete them all via Categories Management (Browser>Categories pane)
there is no settings file in the package, it appears only after 1st startartsi wrote: Sat Apr 05, 2025 12:20 am How do I setup this before I install and do the first start of xnviewmp?
so, you either do as above or modify old xnview.ini, eg:
Code: Select all
[DB]
folder=C:/excluded1/, C:/excluded2/, C:/excluded1/included1/
folderFlag=0, 0, 1
