CTRL + Numbers not working to set ratings

My keyboard shortcuts ctrl+1 (or 2 or 3 etc.) are not working to set ratings. The colors ones aren't working either. I recently downloaded xnview standard to two different computers and this problem is happening in both. I can't figure out a way in settings to get them working. Can someone help? Thanks!
