Hi Pierre,
it's really strange...
"street to Þórsmörk" or "XÞórsmörk" work!
"Þ" work NOT!
So - it seems that the iclandic char "Þ" (U+00DE: Latin Capital Letter Thorn) at the first position is the problem.
best regards
Dirk

Strange, this is standard Windows font (the one used by XnView), they all have complete Unicode support. Also I can use Þ in fe. Notepad.Dirk wrote:If you see a question mark, then your font(s) doesn't support this character.
This maybe however related to script used for font. In such case only users using Western script are able to confirm the problem.

Default, but don't use unicodeDirk wrote:I have such a problem some years ago: At that time not all windows fonts support the whole Unicode standard. The second problem is that some programms/tools use their own fonts.
But nowadays modern OS support normally Unicode.
Which font does XnView use?
Pierre.
