As requested by ckv here, the options dialog should have two more buttons to apply or cancel changes in the options.
a) apply - save changes, leave options dialog open
b) cancel - same as close window control of the options dialog window (top right)
Pierre wanted to try to add the cancel button. Most users posting in the thread wanted an apply button too...

A 'Cancel' button would be really helpful.
As written in topic "Couple small requests (Name Numeric & Cancel button)" 'Cancel' functionality is available already by using the system menu 'Close' in the top right. So adding a 'Cancel' button should be a piece of cake.
