Hi,
there is one thing I miss in XNView MP and that concerns the handling of Favorites ...
I organize my photos in folders and order them in general in subfolders that are based on a year and month schema... The root folder for the photos I'm currently working on is located on my drive D: (and that can be photos of several months) and after completing development and image editing I archive them to a subfolder of my archive on drive E:
So I've created 2 favorites ... one for the root folder of my working directory and one for my archive folder.
But for me these favorites are pretty useless because there is no way to navigate to subfolders of my favorites when I'm in the Favorite pane.
Would it be possible to add the possiblility to 'unfold' the favorites and show all subfolders as well? The Favorites pane would be very much like the Folders pane but with the huge advantage that you are focused on your favorite locations (i.e. you see much less entries than being in the Folders pane and it would be much more overseeable and neatly arranged) ...
Perhaps you can take this into consideration for a future development ...
Merci beaucoup and cheers
Ludger

Registered just to give a +1 to this suggestion (as well as a huge thanks to the devs for this wonderful software!). Yes please, that is my workflow exactly and I miss this functionality.

Re: Favorites including subfolders
Hi user0,
... in which section should this be added?
I'm not sure we talking about the same thing ...
I wish to have the opportunity to expand the folder tree in the favorits pane. I do see photos that are placed right in the favorite folder, but I can't navigate to a subfolder of a favorite ...
Best regards
Ludger

Ok ... just found the setting in the [Browser] section. Changing this to favShowFiles=true doesn't seem to work ...
Update: It works like I expected it to be!!!! On my first try somehow the setting was not saved ...

Re: Favorites including subfolders
its already there in [Browser] section, just find favShowFiles via search and change false to true
when switched on - it looks like this:
the problem this flag is wrongly names (shows subfolders, not files) and shall be available via context menu or Settings, I will make a separate post
