Hello!

I created an SLD file. When I open it from Windows, I got "Format of the file <filename> could not be determined". XnView opens but slideshow is not played.
The same file can be opened&played from Slideshow dialog.

You must associate it with xnview.

Are you sure it is OK?
SLD file should be opened without errors this way- this is how it works with all Windows applications I've met so far.
If an application supports a file format, it can open it without problems via Open with... even if it is not associated with the application.

I understand the reason now, but it should be changed.

Do you think it could be changed in (near) future or rather not?

Rigth. XnView should recognize .sld files automatically and start the slide show.
