Right, more space for file list/information would be useful.
And - I long for layout with preview at the top since I've started to use xnview.

Especially with "Film strip" layout, it's good to have the preview at top. But this is available, already.
I'm not so sure whether a layout with preview at top is really needed. But if it's not too much hazzle to provide and implement it, why not. I'm sure there's some users that will like and use it.
