Fullscreen info: help needed.
Hello,
Needing some insight about the fullscreen info settings.
- F12 > View > Info: What is the purpose of "Always show in fullscreen" ? How it combines with Fullscreen > Fullscreen > Show info ?
- F12 > View > Info: could someone give me an exemple of how to use "Html tags supported", please ?
- It is true that XMP metadata can not be used in the fullscreen Info or I am missing where to find them ???
Thanks for listening !!

Re: Fullscreen info: help needed.
When you go in fullscreen, if this setting is activated, the info will always be shown. Else it depends if you show it with 'I' keyGwenael Q. wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 1:16 am - F12 > View > Info: What is the purpose of "Always show in fullscreen" ? Code: Select all
<font color="LightBlue"> <b> [{File Index}] </b> </font> <font color="Yellow"> {Filename With Ext} </font> <font color="LightGreen"> ({Zoom}%) </font> <font color="Grey"> {Directory} </font>
<font color="red">{IPTC:Caption}</font>
You can now use XMP metadata- It is true that XMP metadata can not be used in the fullscreen Info or I am missing where to find them ???

Thanks for replying, Pierre !
Happy to know that XMP metadata will be available for Fullscreen info.
Thank You

That's not what I observe here. Info is not always displayed even if "always" option is activated. This option seems to do nothing. Even if it did, I think it should be removed because in contradiction with the setting "show info"...When you go in fullscreen, if this setting is activated, the info will always be shown. Else it depends if you show it with 'I' key
Thank You

Hello Pierre.
I'm sorry but the option doesn't work.
I made a gif capture showing the issue but too heavy to be posted here (less than 3 Mb !)...
It would be great if bigger files were allowed in the forum.
Thanks for listening.

Hello,
A lighter screen capture to show the issue.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

offtop
Video codecs are slightly efficient than gif.
One can use OBS for screen recording and attach video file to forum as archive.Gwenael Q. wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 2:01 pm I made a gif capture showing the issue but too heavy to be posted here (less than 3 Mb !)...

Re: Fullscreen info: help needed.
As far as I know it is not published, but I raised the issue of the attachment size limit, and later the permitted number of attachments per post, with a moderator some years ago.Gwenael Q. wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 3:14 am @cday, do you know what is the current limit or where it can be found ?
So 2MiB and 8, unless there has been a change since then: ideally that information would be published somewhere, along with more general advice on attachments such as permitted file formats, but there is only one very busy developer and few volunteers on the forum.

Re: Fullscreen info: help needed.
Thanks i can reproduce. the problem comes from 'Settings>Fullscreen>show info'
This option seems obsolete because:
- 'Always in fullscreen' checked => info always shown
- 'Always in fullscreen' unchecked => info state is kept between session
??
