With 1.0 it was working fine.

After upgrade from 1.0 to 1.02 and also trying 1.01, selecting of video thumbnails in Browser does not work anymore.
I can normally select folders and pictures. But not video thumbnails. The don't get marked, categories don't load and XnviewMP stops working (no more scrolling, no more folder switch, toolbar not working), occasionally XnviewMP window turns fully white.

Video format does not matter. Nothing works (mp4, mov, flv, avi)......

No, I would not say during thumbnail creation. It is really a very strange situation:

As said, I was upgrading from 1.0. So I had all thumbnails already created.
Now when I open 1.02/1.01 I can see the browser like normal. All thumbnails are displaying. When I click on an image file or a folder, everything is like normal. This means: The selected item gets highlighted and I can see the categories get loaded in the category pane.

But when I click on a video file XnviewMP does not respond anymore. It is not a matter of thumbnail display, it also happen when the browser is in icons only display mode.
A bit more detailed what happening: When I click on a video file the file does not get highlighted. In the category pane no categories are loaded. The scrollbar is dead. Top menu is working, toolbar does no longer have animation on mouse-over but I can click the toolbar icons and they are working.

The browser stops responding completely. However the files are accessible. When I double click on on a file, it opens. And when I use the arrow keys, I can select different files and open them with ENTER-Key, but it does not show in the browser that I walk different files. It appears that somehow the GUI does not update any more and therefore XnviewMP appears to be dead.

Windows 10?

I have just tried with 1.3 and there is no change. It shows the same error.

and only a lock no crash?

I have the same problem on windows 10 pro after upgrading from an old version ( perhaps 0.89, but not sure about that ) to version 1.2.
I tried v 1.3 with the same problem.
I also tried to uninstall the new version and re-install an old one ( 0.99.6, 0.89 ) and the problem is still there.

The video is playing because I can hear the sound, but no image and the main window is frozen.

I confirm that I can open a new file by using the keyboard or the toolbar, or by a double click on a thumbnail. If it is a vidéo I can hear the sound of the new selected item.

All formats : mp4, flv, mpeg, avi, ...
