I deal with different DDS textures from different games every day. I also use XnView Classic as a preview plugin for Total Commander.
I have noticed that XnView Classic does not properly display some DDS files that have ZIP compression specified. They are displayed simply as a mess of different color pixels. At the same time, I use XnViewMP as the main viewer of various images in windows and there this compression is displayed without problems. Examples of such files -> https://puu.sh/JcJkc/47e9a52eb9.7z
