Unrecognized File Formation

Post by Max Yang »

I'm running XnConvert 1.85.1 on a windows 10 box.
Recently, I extracted some pix from a old Windows 98 game with a equally old software called Susie.
The file extension of those pix is GP8, Which could be viewed with Susie.
I've tried several softwares ( Xnconvert included ) for converting them to jpeg or any other common formation.
But, no luck.
Any suggestion/information is welcome.

Well, It's been more then a week.
There are some follow-ups.
  • I've found a "save as" function hidden in the right-click menu of the preview window.
The function saves GP8 to BMP individually.
    Sure enough, It's a time-consuming task.
I don't prefer to do that, since there are thousands of files.
  • An executablne file named Spi2bmp.exe I've found, Which can batch convert GP8 to BMP.
    I love it.
For your question, Yes, I do have plugins.
I've downloaded plugins from
https://www.digitalpad.co.jp/~takechin/download.html
and
http://midon1.freeservers.com/susie.htm.

Spi2bmp.exe is listed at http://midon1.freeservers.com/susie.htm.
The filename is S2B104.LZH
