0.95: Quick slideshow Delay value usually reverts

Post by pearlste »

XnView: MP 0.95 - 64 bit
OS: Windows - 64bit

The Quick slideshow Delay value can't seem to be set reliably by typing into the text entry box. Usually, after doing so, changing focus will cause the value to revert to the prior value. The value can be changed reliably via the up/down buttons.

Effect: Can't change the delay very conveniently.

To reproduce:
1. Click Tools
2. Click Settings ...
3. Click View
4. Click Misc.
5. In Delay box, type a new value, e.g. 33
6. Click OK
7. Return to that same panel, old value will appear in Delay

Expected behaviour: new value of Delay would be retained

Can this be changed? It can’t be a performance issue as I can use the scroll wheel to go through the images faster than the slideshow speed while in the slideshow.

I believe so. It’s possible I’m doing something wrong so that the ms of the slideshow is not 50 and that the scroll is faster in comparison and is 50. I’ve made a video showing what I did. I try to signal when I scroll by moving the mouse before and after stopping rapid scrolling. It’s more visible at .25x speed. youtu .be/NFf8Jp4H3IE
