Image Splitter
I would like the next version of XnView MP has a image splitter action like anothers already have in actions batch process.
It will be great you can choose the numbers of rows and columns you want split to.
May include some options like save in the source folder like you use in another options included.
And generate filenames numbered in one step.
Example.jpg.......become in example_1.jpg, example_2.jpg...etc.
It will be great the character # can be used like separator......example#1.jpg, etc.
Thanks

XnView BugTracker #0001351: Split
Here's an interesting suggestion for an integrated combine/split dialog:

It is optional, such as for example the attached image.
This image is just one example.
This feature is Option or Filter.
I also wrote in another thread earlier,
about out-of-memory data,
Write in to the virtual memory file in XnConvert folder.
Split and Combin a simple Image

Re: Image Splitter
I think the file name resulting after the process is very important and has to preserve the ORIGINAL FILENAME a separator CHARACTHER (preferly defined by user) and 1 NUMBER relative to the part itself.
When do you think this improve can be implemented?
COME ON. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Re: Image Splitter
A welcome addition at last...
But would Browser | Create > Split image... be a better title, and also consistent with Browser | Create > Join images... ?

Re: Image Splitter
Thank you very much for the support and the development.
Really I need this option in XnView.
I'm going to try the splitter these days with several options and I will report here for some bugs or another problems what could be.
Again, thanks a lot.

Re: Image Splitter
V 0.89 : It works fine.
Thanks
Maybe output filenames could be numbered with 3 digits like my-image001.jpg , instead of my-image1.jpg
Another solution is to use raw and column numbers for output filename : my-image03-05.jpg (line 3, column 5)
When files are sorted by name, the result would be better.

I would like to be able to customize the filenames as well as the file format (XnView Classic: Tools → Extract Movie Frames... → Save).michel038 wrote:Maybe output filenames could be numbered with 3 digits like my-image001.jpg , instead of my-image1.jpg

Re: Image Splitter
At first glance, the files were sorted alphabetically, but now sort order is numeric, even in windows; When files are sorted by name, the result would be better.
No more difficulty, I can easily rebuilt original image with "Create, Contact Sheet"
Consider XnTriq request ...

Re: Image Splitter
How do I convert the names to row/column instead of numbers like in Excel? For instance "A14". Thanks.

Re: Image Splitter
I am using XnView MP v0.99.1 and I couldn't find the split function under "Image".
Where exactly is this split function?
How do you access it?
