How to disable Catalog / how to avoid collecting folders ?

Hi,

I see that different folders are collected in the Catalog section.

Is there a way to disable this Catalog completely ? And / or is there a way to avoid collecting folders there ?

Ideally I'd like to configure XnViewMP to act 'zero footprint', like such 'portable applications' not leaving any traces in the ini file, or within a .db file - no folders, no thumbs, no traces or history in the ini file ...

Thanks for any idea :)

Best wishes,
Jo ...

Pierre, thanks for your quick reply !

But - sorry to ask, where do I find this 'enable catalog' setting ?

Below 'Catalog' I have 'Enable thumbnail caching', which I successfully un-checked - but no 'enable catalog' ...

Thanks and best wishes,
Jo ...

Well, I disabled all that, but I still saw entries below Settings > Catalog > Cached directory ...

But by adding A:\ ... Z:\, \\Server1\, etc. below Excluded/Included it seems to be stopped ... - I had to edit the ini file as the interface did not allow me to enter it like that - but - it seems to work ...

Lets see whether this solves writing items into "Cached directory" :)

Thanks Pierre for your prompt and helpful comments !
