view only images?

Post by b2949675 »

I already tried a few different settings, but some files (like *.html) still open in xnview. How can I turn it off so that only the images are opened while the rest is ignored?

This does not seem to work, at least on my system it tries to open an .xls file then crashes, or it tries to open an .url file then crashes (or locks up so I have to kill xnview.exe task), this inspite both xls and url are on that list.

An example here, while opening whatever image and scroll right away to the other, XnViewMP crashes.

Edit: however, in the above test files, it does not seem to crash (it no longer try to open the url file) if I wait more than ~2 seconds before going to the other image, in other words the ignore string is taken into consideration only some moments later after opening the first image.

In the end I completely deleted the XnView user .ini file and re-configured the program settings again from scratch. Now it displays – respectively it skips – correctly all specified formats, according to my settings. Most likely, previously I misused the file exclusion list and/or the programs associations and/or something.
