1.51: Control of the 'Ini' file (program setings)

Post by budz45 »

Hi,

Pierre, by default on Windows, XnConvert writes it's Ini file to the user's system 'App Data' folder, this default is fine and I understand but I would like to make the two following points:

1.) There needs to be an option in the XnConvert 'settings' tab, that would control where the Ini is written to, just like we have XnView MP. Please add a spinbox for this.

2.) Pierre, you must consider making a blank ini file (xnconvert.ini) in the download package for x86/x64 Windows versions, perhaps for Mac download package too. I feel this is important that this considered for the reason that XnConvert in it's current download package ready-to-use form can be run easily from a USB stick as a portable app and when moving from computer as with a portable app the settings need to always stay and not get written to multiple peoples system App data. Please consider adding the Ini file to the default download package's program folder.
