RC7: Image switching bug

Post by Danny »

Doubleclick being used to go from Browser to Fullscreen.

Folder with multiple images. Select any picture somewhere in the middle. Then doubleclick on it. If you now switch to the next image, it will jump back to the 1st image in the folder (sometimes you have to switch once more for this to happen.

XnView 1.80 <x>

Can't get here

Post by Clo »

:) Hello!

- I can't reproduce this issue here following your steps. I get alright the next image in the current sorting-mode.

- I tested with two folders :
1. 32*32 icons (262 files - the most *.ICO - 24 BPP=3.19 KB each)

2. Various images, sizes and formats (99 files, 132 bytes up to 1.5 MB : *.BMP, *.DDS, *.GIF, *.JPG, *.MPG, *.PNG, *.PPS… )

3. I tried several times, starting from the same pic around the middle of the folder, and from others around, it's the same, that works normally.
- Win 98 SE.

Hmm... are you sure? I can reproduce it all the time. Even with a completely new ini.

Basically you first have to select an image by clicking on it once with the left mouse button. Then you view the same image in fullscreen (either by clicking it with the MMB or doubleclicking it with the LMB or whatever). If you now switch to one of the next 2 images it should start at the beginning of the folder.

Do you have tried the 1.80 final?

I can't reproduce this bug, perhaps you can send me your .ini?
Pierre.

Well, i don't know a different way to describe it. I'll do it once more, though, since it's a little different in the 1.8 final.

First, you select an image (just not the first one in the folder) by clicking on it once with the LMB. Then you dbl-click the same file in order to show it in fullscreen preview mode. If you now switch to the next picture with the mousewheel, it will first load the 1st picture in the folder, and only then switch to the actually next picture.

I still can't reproduce this bug. Maybe it's some mouse setting problem, try to change something there.

When you switch to the next picture with PgDown it works good?

I misunderstood. I'll try again:

Do you have this problem only with mouse wheel or also with PgDown?
Do you have this problem also with default settings (fresh .ini)?
What is your OS, mouse?
