hi,
I am certain that this has been reported before but I currently cannot do a full forum search for time.
In Browser, when I select "Thumbnails" view, only the Image files and Video files respond and change to a large thumbs view but not other file-types.
In Windows 7, Explorer, if you zoom into any folder with a mixed amount of files, you would immediately see the enlarging of icons to highest page possible to any/all supported file-types. This is what I expected in XnView MP's browser too.
I run Windows 7. I was expecting to see 256x256 high-resolution file-type icon display for known file-types of mine that include that icon display or if not highest page possible.
Similarly for Mac OSX users, if they select any of the current "Thumbnails" view in Browser, then they should be able to see 256x256 sized file-type icons (or highest icon page). Mac OSX 512x512 page displaying in browser thumbnails view would not be suitable due to slowness of JPEG2000.
This is all for ANY and ALL file-types such as .zip, .rar, .wmv, .pdf, blank file-types (default system icon) etc etc - any and all file-types that are associated with apps that have highest page file-type icons.
It seems that ShellToys - CFI Explorer (I think) is using a special Windows API to be able to support highest-icon-page Thumbnail viewing of file types. Would be interesting to what win API method CFi Explorer is using.
Thank you for understanding.
