1. In XnView, Browser Mode
2. Select a file
3. Hold Shift down and Right-click -> Delete
4. Still says it will be deleted to the Recycle Bin!
Now if I had used the DEL key instead of the menu, it works the way it should.

I can't reproduce this one on Windows XP. When deleting, a message box should occur which asks whether file(s) should be deleted to recycle bin. This works for me.
Do you have option "General > Confirm file Delete" activated or not? What is "it works the way it should"?

No, I don't want it deleted to the recycle bin at the same time I don't want to disable "Delete to Recycle Bin" options either.
If XnView is to truely behave like Windows Explorer it has to be able to handle -> Shift+Del = no recycle bin. So far it does this perfectly via hotkeys but via the menu no

I understand, now. The MS Explorer discussion, again. As written before, I do understand that people want XnView just behave like MS Explorer...

ckit, you mean <Shift> + <Context menu Delete> or also <Shift> + <Delete key> ?
<Shift> + <Delete key> is a standard (I think) in all file managers, I like this idea.
Anyway, I think it's a suggestion and also subject: RC3: "No Permanent File Deletion via Menu" is not very accurate.
So could you explain what exactly do you want (above) ?
And can I rename subject to e.g.: "REQ: Use Shift+Delete to delete permanently"

Yes, I mean <Shift>+<Context menu Delete>
Renaming the subject to "REQ: Use Shift+Delete to delete permanently" isn't accurate either cause DEL key permanent deletion already works fine in XnView.

This is fixed in RC4.
