Cropping palette is too small

The image displayed in the cropping dialog is too small for accurate selection of the cropping area. As the attachment shows, there is lots of room to display the image bigger.
A zoom feature would also be useful in the cropping dialog.
Or even better, to be able to select a cropping area while viewing the image in full screen.
