The placement is different than in Windows version (Cancel / Apply).
"Apply" button works in most (all?) cases as "OK", so it should be renamed to "OK" IMO.

Don't know, but it's not a standard, "Apply" button in Windows never close a dialog.

Unfortunately I cannot use XnView MP 0.2 due to the misconfigured package. FAIK, the Windows standard for buttons is:
Ok, Cancel: For Canceling or confirming changes and edits in modal sub dialogs.
Apply: For applying changes immediately without closing the dialog.
Close: Only if the modal dialog is for display, only, and does not allow changes and edits.
