The older style is also seen here, at the board maker's home, among others.

Well, i must say that i hate fixed width webpages, on this world where now 19" and 20" inches up to 1680x1050 screen resolutions are common, having themes made to work only at 1024 or even less is a big space loss.

Old style like subsilver2
or new style but greyed like Prosilver
Hmmm, Prosilver is nice on the eyes :)

I vote for Subsilver2 as Prosilver has the same strange icons as the current one.

For me, it's not so much the icons as it is the colours but everyone is bound to be different :)

Definitely the "old style" - subsilver2 IMHO, but if possible, both styles might be available.

:) Hello !
…but if possible, both styles might be available.
• I agree and support that wish ! Why a combobox to choose… a single theme ?
- I guess that two or three themes to be chosen wouldn't add a big fat to the server,
and should make all users happy !

New forum software (phpBB 3.0) Search snag…

Post by Clo »

 Admins

:) Hello !

• Like a user notices in THAT MESSAGE, there is a new “feature” of the Search extremely annoying,
I also suffered it several times.
• Moreover, now searching by author, the “*” no longer works - it worked in the old version- you get always a message telling that the field needs to enter at least a three-character name,
while just beside “*” is given to search for all authors… :?

Hopefully Pierre will have time to take care of this after the weekend.

Entering a very rare keyword returns the expected result (1 hit):

Nag-threshold that XnTriq mentioned?

Post by marsh »

Hi Pierre,
It looks like some admins are changing the setting "common word threshold" to zero (disable), deleting, and rebuilding search index. Finding another value which doesn't include terms like 'fullscreen' or 'png' would take much trial & error time?
Here are some phpbb-related links: 1, 2, 3

So how comes that when I click on a thread with unread posts it opens on top of page 1 instead of the page with the unread posts?

So how comes the unread marks are not reset when I visit the forum but not the specific thread?

Both worked before. For me it IS broken now.
