Re: Change of DPI (Set DPI vs. Resize)
Does not work properly.xnview wrote:Please try XnView 1.96 beta
1. Open an image. Go to "resize"-dialog.
2. Change DPI ("units"). The "screen size" changes.
3. Now check "Keep Print Size". Repeat step 2. The same result.
Thus the checkbox makes no difference.
The result of step 3 is correct, but not in step 2, it should change "print size" instead.

When 'Keep print size' is checked, you can't change 'print size'.Troken wrote: 3. Now check "Keep Print Size". Repeat step 2. The same result.
'Print size' is changed due to round precision...Let all checkboxes be checked (makes "Print size" greyed). Now change the "Screen size". Result = "Print size" is changed (even though greyed) + the DPI changes too, slowly.

Re: Change of DPI (Set DPI vs. Resize)
It is a bit confusing.
When you use Resize feature alone, the size in pixels is changing fine. But on the other hand, the original DPI of image remains unchanged which affects how big the image is displayed on screen, that misleads about the real size.
Later, when I change DPI of particular image using "Set DPI" after "resizing" the same image, then the actual/real image size (in cm or inch) displayed correctly on screen (on monitor) based on DPI setting. I wish resize and Set DPI features were combined to eliminate the confusion.
