I think Pierre tracked down the problem for anyone else having this issue.

Yes i have it, the problem is with ZIP files that appear in the treeview

Just a shot in the blue:
What happens if you move the .zip files I see from the screenshots off the desktop so xnview won't try to open them? It looks like xnview doesn't like "instantrails 2.0.zip", it is stuck right before that one on the second screenshot.
Also move or delete the "godmode.{controlpanel-id}" folder somewhere where xnview won't see it do easily at startup. If you don't dare to delete it in explorer delete it from a DOS box with "del C:\godm" and then press TAB to let windows do the command line completion.
