Good stuff, Olivier! I really like this solution, it combines various advantages:
- User can see the most important file types
- User can see that there is many more file types available and can choose one of them if needed.
- Simple and clear handling & GUI
This would make the option "Options > Write > Formats" superfluous. Though some people might have different "Most common" files which they would like to be listed at top. So perhaps the solution is a customizable list of "Most common" file types (instead of setting which entries are listed, one sets which entries are listed at top).
The fully featured solution would be a fully customizable file list, i.e. for each entry you can set visibility and position in file list, but I think that would be an overkill.
