Request : batch conversion : Add text : EXIF maker notes
Hello,
I have a request; I can see the complete EXIF, including maker notes when I open an image. However, the add text option doesn't show all of it.
Basically I want to water mark lens used for a specific shot.
Is there any way I can do it? If not, is it possible to add this feature...
thanks for the great tool and a ton more for offering this free of cost.

you can use {EXIF:x10B} (x10B is the tag number of what you want)

Pierre,
Thanks for your reply. Perhaps it didn't work for me, attached is the screenshot I am attaching to show what I am doing. Note that Make, max aperture, metering mode appear except for the {EXIF:x10B}. I see the lensID, lens etc reported in the EXIF-maker notes section when image is previewed (am refering to third tab in the window, placed at left bottom quarter in default layout of XnViewMP). Is there something wrong?
Appreciate your help!
thanks

Pierre,
Attached here. Shows Lens info in XMP..
I reverse engineered from your help on getting EXIF:152, but it is an unformatted string looks like, it doesn't show what make of the lens etc.. hmm..
I then started searching for min-focal length, max-focal length etc but hard luck
Just tried same image when opened using Picasa shows Full lens string... but Picasa is not for who know XMP/XnV
thanks!

Pierre,
Thank you!! I can see now. I j ust downloaded v0.48 :
Interestingly, nothing appears for the image shot with new Sigma 85mm f1.4 EX DG HSM, rest I tested with every lens in my arsenal, it works fantastic.
Images from Nikon 24-70, 70-200, 105VR, 35 f1.8DX; Tokina 11-16 DX, Sigma 10-20 work fine. But, for Sigma 85mm f1.4 EXDGHSM, it doesn't work
thanks again for the wonderful software!

Thanks shrikrishna for making the original request to Pierre
But yes Pierre must try to decode the LensID type you last uploaded for increased compatibility in XnViewMP
I see the LensID metadata in "Properties" XnViewMP 0.51 for your first picture you uploaded
