[Solved] PDF to TIFF: strange Quality

Post by Peter2 »

Hi

2 month ago I converted a lot of PDF to TIF (BW, 400 DPI, CCGIT) - with fine quality. Now I tried it again - and the quality is worse. See attached image. In last two month I installed current XnView and maybe changed the Ghostscript (I have 8.70 on drive c:\ and 9.00 on drive d:\). The quality of PS/PDF is set to 400 DPI.

What happened here?

regards

Peter

I think I found the reason: The older, smooth files where made with "Dithering: None"; the newer, "franged" ones where made with "Dithering: Floyd Steinberg"

Sorry, my mistake.
