0.39 Linux: GPS tag missing in browser mode

Post by rmtk »

The GPS tag on a geolocated photo is frequently missing on MP 0.39L. A regression from 0.35.
I use 64bit version as 32bit version still crashed on my Ubuntu Natty 64bit.

Could you send me a sample where GPS tag is not visible?

This problem seemed occur randomly. You might see the missing GPS tag of one photo appeared after restart but another tag disappeared...
But in most of time, nearly all GPS tags are missing.

this also seems to be the case for the windows (64 bit) version,
the thumbnail overlay icon sometimes shows the GPS flag, sometimes it doesn't.
If however the GPS info is present,
you can always see the actual location in the embedded goolge maps chart correctly.

Hi,

I have the same problem on Windows7 64bits and on Max OS X 10.6.8.
Initially when you open an directory the gps info icon is visible, but when you switch to another directory and back the gps tags are gone.
