Re: XnView browser crashes
If you activate option>filelist>Misc - Show hidden files & folder, do you have always the crash?

Re: XnView browser crashes
Well any file with attribute hidden, when opened with xnview will cause it to crash for me.
Of course I just tried to reproduce it on another machine with xp and that worked fine, so now I dunno what it is... though its only xnview that has the problem, any other app will be just fine.

And with a clean .ini?Koogle wrote:Well any file with attribute hidden, when opened with xnview will cause it to crash for me.

Re: XnView browser crashes
Yes, clean .ini works (should have thought of doing, just didn't want to setup everything again)..
really strange.. I guess the .ini file I had used was old.

Re: XnView browser crashes
ok ... in my process of putting back all my settings again on the clean .ini
Its gone back to crashing...
and now I know what the xnview problem is... "Loop on file list"!!!! ...having it turned on causes the appCrash if the opened file is in a hidden directory...
Also trying to open prev/next image through keyboard shortcut or mousewheel setting, doesn't work either.. personally think it should, because windows hidden files/folders weak sauce privacy aren't exactly hidden anyway if you can see and open up said files.
