I'm not arguing that. The name of the command behind “Create strip of images”, however, is still cmd_Panorama.budz45 wrote:But it has already been established that "Create strip of images" feature is NOT traditional 'Panorama' creation.

'Create strip of images' for me is sprite generator tool. But without transparent background I can't use itXnTriq wrote:I'm not arguing that. Panorama - photomerge (blend images together). So I agree with budz45.

Again: I don't deny that the name cmd_Panorama is misleading, since it doesn't stitch photos together.mezich wrote:'Create strip of images' for me is sprite generator tool. But without transparent background I can't use it

XnTriq,
right I better understand what you mean by 'internal command name' ok it's the name used in the behind-the-scene process.
Pierre could've chose a better accurate name like cmd_ImgJoin or something like that - anyways that's another debate.
sorry for the confusion.

1. good idea for panorama because represent photomerge (how one photo blend with other).XnTriq wrote:My idea for cmd_Panorama:
2. in context of graphic application like xnView - can be interpreted like make puzzle from image.
3. not good for sprite generation tool like 'create image stripe'

Re: Default toolbar icons demopage
mezich,
what do you think on my latest summary above? Do you think everything in those requests is done? 'Add Watermark' you decide upon original design or you plan on entirely new submission to this topic?

Re: Default toolbar icons demopage
Pierre has not gotten back to me yet on 'Copy Special' - you see with 'copy path' a user simply would click on it and then the full file path of the file would be copied to the clipboard, the icon for this is done/completed and I thank you dearly for that icon mezich.
Ok, what 'Copy Special' would do, is, from the top-menu (the 16x16 menu's), present a sub-menu for users to do other extended copying abilities of files to the clipboard. Check out this topic again; http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=21664

So that two-paper 'tree folder' variant would suit 'Copy Special' just rightly 24x24 - would you await Pierre's approval first?mezich wrote: For me 'copy path' should looks like current 'copy' with two papers, but one paper in front with tree folders on it.
completed - Second variant is front paper is black with 'c:\>' on it.

T think gear on front paper would be good for 'Copy Special'.budz45 wrote:Ok, what 'Copy Special' would do, is, from the top-menu (the 16x16 menu's), present a sub-menu for users to do other extended copying abilities of files to the clipboard. Future commands should wait approve. There is many good commands in current UI without icons.budz45 wrote:So that two-paper 'tree folder' variant would suit 'Copy Special' just rightly 24x24 - would you await Pierre's approval first?
