The "View as" and "Sort by" drop down lists have moved to the "small" toolbar, next to large drop downlist which shows the current directory.

Yes, I know they have been moved to the "small" toolbar but they still don't work.

O.k. What's exactly happening?

Could you please
1 - Quit XnView
2 - Rename the xnview.ini
3 - Start XnView, again
and then see whether it works?

Ok, I was using the registry for my settings. I switched that off and went back to the INI file (deleted the old one first) and now the bug is gone.

So I assume if I delete the registry key, the same thing will happen as the INI file.

Do you have the old .ini used?

Yes, it causes the old .ini file, also another bug with a new Tab bar, it's ok after I removed it...

However a little bit annoying, to configure it all again - and now with a new RC1 again:

With old .ini from 1.80 beta I've got a blank grey full screen at start - every time...

Could you send me your old .ini file, please?

RC2: Empty ComboBoxes View as & Sort by

The ComboBoxes "View as" and "Sort by" in the small icon bar can be dropped down,
but both are empty (no entries visible).
I can select and activate these invisible entries, so the function is given.

It's a known bug with old .ini file.

Do this:
- close xnview
- rename xnview.ini to xnview.ini.bak

Dreamer,
It's a known bug with old .ini file.
No, it's not. It's caused by the option General - Startup - Use XP style menus.

Right.
Not fixed in RC3.

Right, but why it is here as "[OK]" ?

Could you explain Helmut/Pierre please?

Everyone can disable that option, but it's still a bug I think...

Therefore moved back to "New and Open Bugs, Requests, and Suggestions"
