Post by marsh »

1. Start slide show using pause.
2. While its running hit <page up> to go back a few pictures.
3. Let slide show continue running.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
5. Now pause key becomes stuck and will not stop slide show.
6. <ctrl> +<f> stops working.
7. Xnview starts consuming huge amounts of memory /resources.

After system reboot a haven't repeated the problem so far. Win2k sp4.

While testing this problem on RC2, I'm convinced that there is a very bad problem.
1. I put few thousand JPGs in directory.
2. Started QuickSlideshow in one of the tabbed windows.
3. Used <page up> periodically.
4. Put Xnview in background periodically.
5. Used <ctrl +f> periodically.
6. *When show gets to about 500/5821, Keyboard becomes unresponsive. ESC wont work.
Pause wont work. <ctrl f> wont work. <alt + tab> will work to exit it.

Another test:
Simplest way to recreate a problem (possibly different from above):
1. start quickslideshow in tab.
2. select other program in taskbar with mouse.
3. return to Xnview with mouse by choosing its taskbar icon.
4. Similar bad results to above, some keys are frozen.

RC3: Xnview keyboard functions freeze for long time using Quickslideshow pause key. Here is how I reproduced it:
1. Start in broser mode.
2. Select photo to view in large directory.
3. Start Quickslideshow with spacebar.
4. Switch back and forth to other application on taskbar about 8+ times.
5. *Xnview keyboard functions freeze. Quickslideshow can only be stopped by mouse. This keyboard freeze
is not permanent however. If I leave program alone for a few minutes, they start working again.
6. Mouse keeps working and can stop Quickslideshow.

My Options this time:
1. Scan fileheaders in folders........Never
2. Show hidden files..........Yes
3. Recognize only by extension..........Yes
4. Double-click or enter to view fullscreen......No
5. Only one view opened ................Yes
6. QuickSlideShow delay...............400

800 image files in Quickslideshow directory.

The topic says "[Fixed]", now, so I assume that marsh has retested this. Closed.
