In the debian package xnviewmp for lucid 64bits you must have in DEBIAN control the line Depends: ia32-libs (>=2.7ubuntu25) see here http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=18968 and change the line Depends. You cannot install the hizoka (or others) DEB karmik xnviewmp0.26b 64bit on the lucid linx version cause of different ia32-libs (incompatibility) we just can do that with DEB xnviewmp0.26 32bit. So we do not really need deb, rpm, yum. With the tarbal that Pierre done for linux it is very easy to install and test XnViewMP on any linux distro. You just have to Download the archive, Save on a directory, Extract here. Then go to the file xnview.sh double-click on it and Run. For the very beginners a tuto at http://www.wubijacq.com/topic3/.
