Problem with password at ftp-addon 1.04

Hello ,

We use the xnview complete version 1.96 with only ftp-addon 1.04 in german language .
a fresh installation of windows xp prof sp3 and xnview ,xnview can't save the password for ftp-transfer in the xftp.ini at Users-home/Anwendungsdaten/Xnview/ .
The User ist the local-Admin of the fresh PC .

The FTP-Transfer at self is functional,but the password is every time away.

On other PC, xnview can save the Passord for ftp-transfer in xftp.ini-File also at USERS-Home/Anwendungsdaten/Xnview/
On both PC was xnview installed with the same installation-method.

Use xnview other programm to save the key at the xftp.ini file ,which are not delivered with standart Win-xp-Professional ?

I vaguely remember that someone requested not to save password in the ini, because password were stored as plain text... Or was this with some other project?? :)

no the password,was save as a hash in the xftp.ini.
also whe we copied the ini.file to the fresh pc , xnview not using the passord-hash.

any other suggestions or solutions ?

You have copied the .ini in the same folder? XnView use same ini settings?

hi xnview ,

yes weve copied the xftp.ini in the same location of the fresh installed PC ,but the xnview on this Machine doesn't use the hashed password of the ini-file or save a new one.

Weve tried also the Portable -Version of xnview . The Same Problem.
We patched + reinstalled the fresh PC, nothing will happen . :x

Ok, i've tried and right there is a problem. I use the windows api and it seems that there is a problem, i don't know why. I must change the crypt function...
