B1 - B2 - B3 error sound moving inside the thumb view

since B1

- when i scroll with the arrows up and down on the thumbnails view vista make warning sound

- it happend even if i select the thumbs image with the mouse

- not happend if i move from left to right selecting the next or the prev thumbs.

- it happend only if the xnview folder is located on c:\program files\ , not if it is located elsewhere

i am using vista vith an administrative account

Very strange, one user had the same problem with B1.
I've tried, but no sound.

Could you try with a clean .ini?
So you have the sound each time, a thumbnail is loaded in preview?

it start since B1 , no preview pane as you can see from the image above. I also tried with a .ini and with a clean installation with the old .ini file and the situation is the same. I am thinking that xnview try to write or read something and vista did not allow it on the c:\program files\ path becouse if ai move the xnview folder outside it did not happend.

the strange is that it play sound only if i move from up or down or i i select another image with the mouse , but not if i move to left or right , is it becouse the image are loader ahead ?

if you wann try the same behaviour happend if you delete the manifest file

You have that only in browser? If you replace xnview.exe by old version, you have no more sound? Could you try with only xnview.exe in the folder?

- with the 1.96.4 and the 1.96 B3 on c:\program files\xnview\ with a clean .ini... ..it sound

i noticed it only from 1.96 B1 , never before , going back with the 1.95 it still

there are some file outside of the xnview folder used by it ? something that the 1.96 changed and are used even by the 1.95 ?

Sorry, before you use 1.95 without problem, right. With 1.96 beta, you have a sound, right? And if you replace the 1.96 exe by 1.95 exe you have now sound too?
And if you use an empty folder?

a folder with other folders inside make sound when i select a folder with up and down arrows or when i click on it , even if inside there are no images or file

done , the test folder was empty before xnview start

and.. it sound. Tested even inside a vmware partition with a clean vista installation and it sound again
