Save As resets to first file in same dir or new Save As Dir

Post by profess135 »

Hi,

Great program Pierre. Thank you, and thank you that your continued work and support which has made Xnview the great product it is today.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed. I did do a little search so sorry if I missed it...

When I browse through folders I sometimes come across a picture I want to send to someone. As pictures are usually quite large in KB/MB, I usually edit the picture.

After editing, I would usually use Save As and save the picture in a different location. I would then want to continue browsing through the original directory.

When I use Save As Xnview changes browsing to the folder where the new picture has been saved. I would like for it to continue browsing the original folder.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance to any help guys.

Regards,

Osei

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• Such a feature has been requested and discussed recently, alas I don't remember exactly when and where…
I'm growing old… :|
- I guess that our Dear Librarian will spring on the topic and flood it with a lot of nice links ! :P
…Hope that makes sense.
• Yes, it does in your workflow, but an option is desirable because all users don't work in that way…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Well, it's not exactly a flood of links this time:

Aha, thanks for the links XnTriq.

Hopefully it's a 'feature' that can be implemented.
