[Fixed] Change attributes freeze-up bug

Post by lawndart »

1. Browse photos in full-screen.
2. Display properties using right mouse button.
3. Change file attribute. Uncheck 'archive'.
4. Program freezes.
5. You can <alt + Tab> out and return to program. It will continue
working after this.

Ok here are my steps to re-producing this bug:

1. Open XnView in Browse Mode
2. Open a File into View Mode
3. Switch to Fullscreen
4. Move through files using Space bar
5. Right-click and choose Properties
6. Change Attribute to -A
7. Click Apply
8. - Lock up -
9. Press ALT+TAB to escape to freedom :)

I can confirm this bug too - also in view mode and also if other attribute is changed (read only, hide).

Important - what is possible to do and what not:
Possible:
Switch images through the context menu - Next/Previous
Switch to view mode through the context menu - Fullscreen
switch to view mode with MMB
Switch images with toolbar buttons
Alt+Tab twice - after that everything is possible again

Not possible:
Escape
Switch images with a mouse wheel
Switch images with keys page down/up, left/right arrows, space, backspace

Strange, do you have the popup menu after?

Yes, right click pop-up-menu still works. PageUp, PageDown, ESC
freezes when Xnviewis used to change file attribute in view-mode.

With the given description it is quite simple to reproduce the problem. The important bit is to understand what 'locking up' or 'freezes' means.

Dreamer has listed the things that work and do not work, already, here a summary:
Keyboard is blocked. When pressing Space bar, a beep can be heard.

Perhaps a focus problem?
