1.93.6: Crash when pressing 'DEL' for deleting image

Hello i experienced everytime i try delete a file from disply window mode by pressing DEL key, xnview crash with this error, as you can see in image:



Running Windows XP Pro, SP3 ita.

I hope is possible to fix.

Strange, i can't confirm. Do you have tried with a clean .ini? Do you reproduce it always?

Ok, i can give you exactly reason of crash.
I installed new version, no more problem, but when i try to add:

[Hidden]
MenuBar=1

in ini, for hidden Menu bar, it crash everytime you try delete images from viewer mode.

So the bug is this with this option only.

If any chance to fix in next version, it would be great, as far i like very much this minimalist setup.
Maybe you should even consider to add an option for hidden Menubar, atm you can only hidden by adding this option by hand in ini file.

You're right it crashes, but without any comment here.

Is this hidden setting an official hack?

I updated with 194.2, still same bug:

edit xnview.ini in C:\Documents and Settings\XXXX\Application Data\XnView

[Hidden]
MenuBar=1

for disable menu in view mode.

Then open any image, and when you will try delete any image in "no menu mode" always will show this error dialog.



Error dialog only appear when MenuBar=1, if you put menubar back like MenuBar=0, no more error while try delete images in view mode.

As i said in previous post, Hidden MenuBar exist only as ini option by manual edit...it would be nice to enable this option even in main program too. But need fix this bug while you try delete images in MenuBar disabled mode.
