Can I read the type of the picture?

Post by jerry2 »

Hi there

I use excellent GFLax dll to work on my ASP pages. I am wondering if I can read the type of the picture? Once I load picture, how can I find out if it is PNG, JPEG etc? Is that possible at all?

Thank you for your answer. I hope some day... it would be nice to know because file endings can be misleading and one never knows what is loaded. I want to convert when the original is PNG but if I "hide" PNG to .jpeg it isn't detected.
