I would like to extract or convert a .mov file to a jpg equirectangular file.
Converting to equirectangular might be beyond XnView's scope. But I thought I read somewhere that .mov files could be operated on.
When I open a .mov file. It seems to load then I see one frame -- then a whole bunch of flashing and it ends up with a little white rectangle in the upper left corner of the view window.
Environment: Win2K; DirectDraw 9.0c; XnView 1.91.6
Question: how do I extract the frames of a .mov file into one or more jpg images?
Can I extract or convert the frames of a .mov file?

Re: Can I extract or convert the frames of a .mov file?
I cannot see any such option or menu item. I see no Extract Movie Frame.xnview wrote: Do you have tried 'Extract moive frame'?
I see it documented in the Help file but I cannot find the menu item.
Also, there are 21,000 frames -- if I Extract, will I get 21,000 frames?

*)No you have a number of frames setting and a cursor.

That menu item is grayed out. Not enabled. It's inactive.oops66 wrote:Hello,Anonymous wrote:I cannot see any such option or menu item. I see no Extract Movie Frame.xnview wrote: Do you have tried 'Extract moive frame'?

Im dont have all knowledge in the subject, but if XnView would be able to read simple AviSynth files, maybe the problem would be solved. Isn't that how VirtualDub can read other formats than Avi?
The only string in the file would be, for instance:
DirectShowSource("C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\Cartoon.mov")
