My ICQ Account

Post by ckit »

I've decided to close down my ICQ account in favour of my MSN account. A massive "Authorize me" attack was launched on me today and I will not tolorate that at all. After trying every option I can in "Trillian Pro 3.1" the only way for me to win is to remove the account completely.

My MSN account details are available from my forum profile,
I also have a Yahoo account which I'll start using more too.

Good to know that your instant messaging address has changed.

Note:
In 3-4 days this topic will be deleted, since it is very special and personal.

:) Hello Chris !

- I've switched you to my MSN, and removed the ICQ contact.

- Indeed, you can get my own MSN via my profile.

Thank you, Helmut and Clo!

This issue has been discussed here on Trillian's forums....

Any solution for ICQ auth spam?

6 weeks ago I switched from Trillian 3.1 to Miranda - and I'm totally happy now! :D

I prefer Trillian's GUI it's more like WinXP (gee I never thought I'd say that)
At the age of 28 I'm fed up with the "stone grey" look and want my eye candy!

Miranda is fully plug-in driven so if you don't like the look of the classic contact List you can use the modern contact list There are some true eye candy skins for that.

Ok, I just tried Miranda for the 2nd in my life and still find it to be complete garbage.
The only thing it has going for it is the fact it is opensource.

Trillian is looks nicer and is easier to operate than Miranda.

Go ahead and flame me if you want but I take pride in what I use.

Oh please, this thread continues to get worse.

I'm running Trillian Pro with MSN and Yahoo accounts and I'm happy.

I've been messing with Yahoo! Messenger with Voice for the last couple of weeks as it has better file sharing features and the VOIP support rocks although I need to buy a new headset.

I'll install the new Windows Live Messenger soon too, the bigger avatar support looks cool :)
