b3: thumbnail size problem

Post by Xyzzy »

There is an UFO file (Ulead File for Objects).
I assume XnView displays preview from header, but it has wrong size.
See:

The left one is OK, the righ one is UFO.

This is a standard UFO file, nothing to be supported by it.

Seems that it's not xnview that create this thumbnail, do you have a preview for it?

No, preview is HexaView, just like for an unknown file.
But if I make thumbnains a bit bigger the UFO thumbnails size does not seem to change and if the size is even bigger (like 180x160) they disappear.

Unexpected behaviour.

So this file can not be read by xnview, it's a thumbnail sent by windows :-)
So no bug here.

But how it's even possible?
XnView Tweak UI - Tool to customize your XnView beyond the regular XnView options.
UI-less Settings - Documentation of all the hidden settings in XnView.
XFAM - Tool to create and customize XnView file associations.

For other files i ask windows to send me if possible a thumbnail, so i think that Xyzzy has a component to extract thumbnail for UFO file
