b3: Batch rename character match problem.

Post by marsh »

When filename ends in "_B" and secondary template uses characters and "_#", errors occur.
Example:
Use following settings using batch rename:
Primary template: <Current Date>
Suffix: _#

Rename these files.
01-05-2006.gif
01-05-2006_Q.gif
-Error occurs. It looks like a problem when filename ends with "_<a letter>" and is otherwise identical.

i can't reproduce it, i've tried with 01-05-2006.jpg & 01-05-2006_Q.jpg, <Current date> and _#

'Error renaming file' happens more often when select files in middle of list. Sometimes I have to use rename function more than once to produce error.

But with your example, it's normal that you have an error, 01-07-2006_B.gif exits already.
