XnViewMP 1.5.2 64bit
Windows11 (22H2), display resolution 3840x2160, win scaling 150%
Browser/Viewer
issues with audio files
To reproduce:
0. prerequisite:
- 4 test files in folder (2 images, 2 mp3)
- XnViewMP with default settings
1. double click 1.png in windows file explorer
it opens in Viewer, status bar shows [1/4] files
Issue A
2. scroll to the end and back to the 1st file
audio files are visible as per Custom filter in Settings>Browser>File list>Custom filter
however,
- sometimes audio files are shown without playbar or without cover image (just black space).
- Also if playbar is visible, cover image is stretched to fit screen. Guess it should stay in original size OR follow Viewer's autozoom settings
Issue B
2. press Enter to open folder in Browser mode
3. click on audio file (eg 2.mp3), than on another audio file
sometimes browser's preview does not show cover image
Issue C
2. press Enter to open folder in Browser mode
3. double click last image file to open it in Viewer
it opens, but if you try to scroll through files, audio files will not be in file list, status bar shows [1/2] files
Issue D
2. press Enter to open folder in Browser mode
3. double click on 2.mp3 to open it in Viewer
it opens, but you cannot scroll to next/prev file, status bar shows [1/2] files

Re: 1.5.2 - browser/viewer - issues with audio files
It seems that cache load mp3 as image, if you disable it, no problem...user0 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:35 am Issue A

Re: 1.5.2 - browser/viewer - issues with audio files
confirm - no issues C,D in 1.5.3
however, app's default settings sould not cause such issues
also 3.mp3 still has no cover
Issue E
once 'Read one image ahead' (Settings>View>Misc) is disabled - thumbnails stop showing mp3 covers
enabling it and app restart does not fix this issue
yep, playbar is always visible if cache is disabled in Settings>View>Misc, xnview wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 8:06 amIt seems that cache load mp3 as image, if you disable it, no problem...user0 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:35 am Issue A
