you have 'auto crop' in batch convert. Which things XnViewMP can't do?
Is that the same thing? You can auto crop the image you are looking at by pressing Alt-Y with this feature?
I've just looked up in XnView MP 099.7 and in Batch processing the action "Image > Automatic crop" is available. In XnView MP it even has some more options than in XnView Classic. So from what I can see "Automatic crop" is fine.
But what is still missing is automatic crop in image view mode which is triggered with menu "Image > Automatic crop... (Ctrl+Y)" in XnView Classic. I've just added this to the list in the initial post.

Based on XnView MP 0.99.7 I've just updated the list of missing features - see initial post.

For the following features I need your help. Reason is that I'm not quite sure what is exactly meant or missing so I cannot verify myself.

Current status unknown - to be clarified
• "Next subfolder" and "Previous subfolder" options, see http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=35183 Note: In XnView Classic 2.50.4 nothing happens when pressing Ctrl+PageUp or Ctrl+PageDown.
• Acquire from scanner or camera (Linux/Ubuntu) (see ikletti's and berniz95's post)
• "Never ask again" in "Save change file" message box. (Note: Not clear whether this should be implemented in XnView MP, see discussions here.)
• Plug-in support for many formats in Windows 64-bit, Mac and Linux versions. (see cday's post)
• Fullscreen: Not "Play first file from next folder" (see mtness's post) Note: Where can this setting be found in XnView Classic?

Some features won't make it into XnView MP and are deprecated:

Deprecated features
• View in Hex mode (see Helmut's post)
• Sequence convert (see Helmut's post)
• Create Slide show > Creation of .exe files
• Create Web Page

If you should find a feature that is missing in XnView MP 0.99.7 and isn't listed in the initial post, yet, then it's a good time to post it here.

in xnviewmp everytime I open a window it never bothers to resize the window to fit the image.. I mean maybe I'm missing something with that when the option for that is available.. but the "[View] > [Auto Image Resize] > [Fit image to desktop, large only]" definitely still doesn't exist.. why??
THIS is WHY I'm still on the Classic version and haven't made the jump to MP.

On several occasions I have tried to give the MP version a try and although it is obviously better, this option is a must for me. If you read manga and the pages in vertical resolution are larger than the monitor, it's hell.

Please, reconsider including this option in the MP version.

Yeah glad I'm not the only one that uses it... it just works well at doing " [Fit image to desktop, large only]" exactly that for large images that are bigger than the screen resolution you are viewing them... currently XnMP just options the app at the large possible size and stick flipping scrollbars everywhere... I want to zoom in to 1:1 then I can do.. but for using [mousewheel] to cycle through images in a folder.. that previous classic option is just a must... kinda surprised it never made it to a 1.0 release :?

In XnView MP 1.0, Settings > View > Fullscreen > Dual monitor: use second monitor does not apply to slideshows nor is there an option to explicitly make it apply to slideshows.

In XnView Classic 2.51.0, Options > View > Fullscreen > Dual monitor: use second monitor (Browser & Slideshow) applies to both like it says.

I've just updated the list of missing features (see initial post). Perhaps people could check the status of their missing feature. Less and less features are missing - thank you very much, Pierre! :)

Some differences between XnView Classic and XnView MP are on purpose but some differences are unintended and unnecessary. I've started a topic List of unnecessary differences (compared to XnView Classic).

I couldn't see any options for the fonts when in fullscreen like there was in classic.
Are they there or will they be added?

1. Mentioned it early, one of the reasons Classic is still my main driver : viewtopic.php?p=178280

2. Also not a fan of tabs being above File menu. Can we have an option to use classic layout for this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who strongly dislikes the single weird tab above the menu with the word 'Browser' which has the close button to exit XnView. I sincerely hope you can make this into a setting to hide/remove that thing.
