Linux version adds .jpg extension

Post by KPAH »

I run the latest XNviewMP under linux with XFCE DE.
My default save format is .png
However, if you open a .jpg file in a browser, right-click and copy it, then paste to a new file in XNView and the save it, the file will get a second extension.
I.e. the file name will be filename.jpg.png
Also, if you select two files in XNview browser and create a joint image via XNview build-in tool, clicking save will produce a Strip 1.jpg.png file.

I've seen theses issues in Linux Mint Cinnamon 20 too...

Also an issue when renaming files in the XnView MP browser, when the filename becomes difficult to read after it is selected, do you see that too?
