Minimal installation (Linux)

Which file are needed for a minimal installation at Linux? May I run it from any directory? (I haven't tried anything yet)

You can run it from any directory. You must set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

I'm still not sure, and I don't have time now to test it. Should I add XnView_dir/lib to LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable. Only this?

I cannot try now, because I have XnView installed. I need to boot a Linux from CD to try it.
