Delay while flip through pictures in viewer mode

Post by schlummi »

Hello there,

I am not sure is it a bug or a feature. When flip through the pictures in viewer mode there is a small delay before load each picture. There is this delay while browsing with mouse so with keyboard too. Is this intentional? In fullscreen are the delays much shorter. Here is my setting.

Have I overlooked some checkbox for better performance?

Thx very much in advance! :)

Yes, the loading needs some perceptible time. It's impossible to flip trough as fast as pressing the key. After every pressing I have to wait a little until I see the picture.
I think the viewer is just slow. I have testet FastStone-viewer. It's may be faster but I'm back to ACDSee 3.11, the fastest viewer I had ever used. Unfortunately it can't read some newer image file formats. :( That was the reason to seeking a newer image viewer. I will wait still some years and hope. Thank you! :)
